Rail Train Wagon Brake Shoe / Railway Cast Iron Locomotive Brake Block
Description
During the running of the train, brake is needed, and the brake parts are directly rubbed into the wheels to stop the train stopping.A tile brake block made of cast iron or other materials holds the wheel tread tightly during braking and stops the wheel from turning by friction. In this process, the braking device transforms the huge kinetic energy into heat energy dissipating in the atmosphere. The brake effect depends mainly on the dissipation capacity of frictional heat energy. When using this brake mode, the friction area of the brake shoe is small, and most of the heat load is borne by the wheel. The higher the train speed, the greater the heat load of the wheels when braking.
Material
The brake is fitting for the locomotive which speed is less than 100Km /H
There are three types as following:
1. Grey Cast Iron
2. High Phosphorus Cast Iron
3. Alloy Cast Iron
